Living in Columbus, Wisconsin, Todd Frey and his wife have always been animal lovers. Raising Lamas and spending time with animals inspired Todd to tinker with the idea of building buggies and carts for the lamas to pull around his property. He spent his nights in the garage designing and fabricating his vision.

After several successful prototypes, he expanded the idea to horses and got his wife involved with the fabrication process. Todd and his wife completed their first horse drawn carriage in 1993. It was an instant hit and the design went viral throughout the industry; an overnight success that changed everything.
Their designs were now in demand around the country. From City parades to movie sets, ski resorts to Central Park in New York City, the Frey Horse Drawn Carriage quickly became one of the most sought after carriages on the planet.
Fast forward 25 years and you have worldwide clientele, a dealer network that covers the globe and a 5 month waiting list for new orders…..it’s hard to believe all of this started in a little garage in Wisconsin.
The fabrication team is constantly “leap frogging” their own designs. The “Stingray Carriage” is a perfect example of this innovation.
